Happy Birthday to us

The reason for our trip to Ontario was to celebrate a belated first birthday for Anna and cousin Bennie - Here are some pics of the party!

In the end - Anna loved the icicng and gave her cupcake to Bennie and the dogs - Bennie smeared the icing all over and eat the cake.

Leaving for work yesterday morning -

Me - Colin, mommy is going to work now, Can you say Good Bye?
Colin - Mommy, no work today....

I wish I had that option! Mind you, this was said after me having an extended weekend home with them - spent in Ontario (photos to follow) which was full of swimming, playing with the dogs, and playing hockey and golf. No wonder he did not want to go back to the normal routine - who would....

What are we up to?

It has been a while and thought I would get everyone up to date.

Upcoming Events - we are heading to Ontario this weekend! Big events will be dinner with the Graham's, and the big party for Anna and Bennie (both 1)! Looking forward to seeing everyone

Anna Loves - she know thinks it is really funny to feed other people and to pull herself up at the table.

Colin Loves - imitating others (funny expressions, etc); tickling people.

Momma Loves - running outside more and more! Reading her new book - Salem Falls by Jodi Picoult.

Favourite foods - Spinich stuffed raviolis still rock the house! Dates are a favourite snack.

On the road again

I have landed in North Carolina and will be here until Saturday morning.... I am excited to have a big bed to myself and the pending anticipation of sleeping in in the morning (although I do have an 8:15 breakfast meeting).

What I miss the most while on the road....

• Colin tickles - he loves to be tickled and has started to tickle mommy. It is pretty funny!
• Anna bounces - when ever she hears music (any kind) she starts to bounce up and down. I swear at times she gets clearance...
• Playing at the park - Anna loves the slides and the swings; and for Colin it is anything that involves being outside.
• And of course, I miss the D man too!
